Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • To provide you with safe, appropriate dental care. Health data is processed for the provision of health care (UK GDPR Article 9(2)(h)).

  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, for example clinical record keeping.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only when necessary and securely: with other healthcare professionals involved in your care (for example a specialist or dental laboratory), with our software and IT suppliers who store data on our behalf (including our practice management software, our email provider, Google Workspace, and our website host, Fasthosts), and where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Dental records are kept for the periods recommended for UK dental practices. Website enquiries from people who do not become patients are deleted within 12 months.
